How to Play Mega Jump
The goal of Mega Jump is to jump as high as you can and reach new Stages! When you reach a new Stage it will be unlocked!
To move your character left or right, just tilt your device. The further you tilt, the faster your character will move in that direction.
To jump higher, your character must collect coins and other items. If you don't catch something, you will fall and it'll be Game Over!
TIP: Some powerups allow you to tap your character or the screen to make your character do something special! 
Gold Coins
Collect gold coins whenever you see them! Both the small and large coins have the same value.
TIP: Collect 100 gold coins and you'll get a boost and 10 Mega Points (MP) to spend in the Store!
x2 Coins
The gold coins with the Blue center are worth 2 regular gold coins!
x5 Coins
The gold coins with the Red center are worth 5 regular gold coins!
Trickster Coins
Watch out for this sneaky character! He looks a lot like the precious gold coins but will run away as soon as you get near him!
Moving Coins
The red coins move from side to side across the screen making them harder to catch.
TIP: Aim for groups of moving coins to increase your chance of catching one!
Powerups
Powerups are items in the game that do something special when you pick them up. Some powerups give you a simple boost, like Boost Stars. Other powerups give you special powers like magnetism or the ability to jump higher.
Many of the powerups are upgradable. Upgradable powerups can be made more powerful by unlocking new upgrade levels in the Store. There are four levels: Normal,Turbo, Super and Mega. Mega powerups are the most powerful items in the game.
When you unlock a new level for a powerup, that will replace the current version that you have. If you have the Turbo Magnet and you unlock the Super Magnet, after that you will only see the Super Magnet appear in the game.
The powerups that appear in the game are listed below.
TIP: Some powerups are better for collecting coins, some are better for sending you higher and faster, and some are better for scoring more points, so choose based on what you want to do!
Boost Stars
Boost stars are plentiful in the world of Mega Jump. Collecting one of these stars will give you a boost. Stars come in many colors, each one more powerful than the last: Yellow, Green, Blue and the very boosty Red Star.
The Action Umbrella
If you have a fear of falling, this powerup is for you! You'll float gently down when you fall, giving you more time to catch coins!
Turbo Action Umbrella
Here comes the rain! With this upgrade, a shower of blue coins will start to fall. The blue coins won't boost you, but they count as real coins towards your coin total! Not only that, but you'll also pull 3 coins out of every coin below you like a hovering UFO!
TIP: Hover over large groups of coins to get the most out of this powerup!
Super Action Umbrella
With this upgrade, you will become a floating vacuum, pulling 4 coins out of every coin below you, and the blue coin rain will fall much harder.
Mega Action Umbrella
The coin rain becomes a coin storm with this upgrade, and you'll pull in 7 coins for every coin caught in your Mega Beam!
Anti-Gravity Boots
The Anti-Gravity boots allow you to turn gravity sideways. You'll be able to run on the side of the screen and bust through obstacles with a gravity shield!
TIP: Tap on the screen once to jump and collect items or tap twice to flip to the other side!
Turbo Anti-Gravity Boots
You will run faster, carry a larger shield and you'll also get a boost up the screen when jumping from one side of the screen to the other!
TIP: Double-tap on the screen to boost your character!
Super Anti-Gravity Boots
You’ll be like a charging bull when you strap these on! The gravity field is so powerful that enemies and blocks will be thrown aside and destroyed!

Mega Anti-Gravity Boots
All objects in your way will be crushed under the pressure of your gravity field and you'll boost so fast you'll come close to flying off the screen!

Balloon
The balloon will make you bigger, but you’ll also be as light as a feather. You will float gently upwards, plowing through enemies and other obstacles along the way!
TIP: When you have the balloon, tap on your character to let some air out and get a boost!
Turbo Balloon
This upgrade makes you even bigger and adds an orbiting sidekick, who will revolve around you, picking up extra coins and stars!

Super Balloon
The Super Balloon doubles the number of orbiting sidekicks! As you float upwards you'll get extra friends (up to a maximum of 4) and when you tap the balloon, you'll boost even higher!

Mega Balloon
You'll be like a floating armada with this Mega upgrade! You'll start with 4 sidekicks who will be joined by 2 more as you climb, until you have 6 orbiting friends!

Jump Boots
Put a spring in your step! These boots make every jump bigger – and they even amplify Boost Stars. The result is bigger, faster jumps!
Turbo Jump Boots
Get an even bigger boost with this turbo-charged footwear. Every jump is bigger, and you can string together coin combos to get super boosts!
Super Jump Boots
This Super upgrade makes each bounce feel like you’re getting shot out of a cannon! Hang on!
TIP: Grab multiple coins in a row to activate another boost and keep your speed up!
Mega Jump Boots
Strapping on these boots is like standing on a keg of dynamite! At full speed you’ll become a furious fireball, rocketing across the sky!

Lucky Blast
Turn obstacles into opportunities and good things into great things! When you collect this powerup, all coins, blocks, and enemies on screen will be magically converted into 2X coins or Boost Stars!
Turbo Lucky Blast
The Turbo Lucky Blast explodes with an even bigger ring of happiness. All objects on screen as well as those ahead of you will be converted into 2x Coins, 5X Coins, or bigger Boost Stars!
Super Lucky Blast
The Super Lucky Blast keeps the good times rolling. This powerup is so strong that objects will continue to turn into 2X Coins, 5X Coins, or big Boost stars for a full 3 seconds!
Mega Lucky Blast
The Mega Lucky Blast gives out only the very best! All items are converted into either 5X coins or Red Boost Stars for an incredible 5 seconds! Let it ride!
The Magnet
When you have the magnet, you'll be irresistible, pulling in any coins and stars that are near you!
Turbo Magnet
The Turbo Magnet will pull in coins faster and from a greater distance. Collect coins quicker than ever before!
TIP: With the Turbo Magnet and above, as long as you're moving upwards, you won't be hurt by spike blocks or enemies!
Super Magnet
This magnet attracts coins at super speed with a force so strong it will pull in enemies and obstacles for extra points!
Mega Magnet
Become a black hole, pulling in everything around you! The Mega Magnet is so strong that all coins double in value as they shoot towards you!
The Power Shield
Protect yourself from enemies and obstacles - by busting through them! The Shield will wrap you in an energy ring that will protect you from harm.
TIP: You can destroy any obstacle or enemy you touch with the Power Shield for extra points and a small boost!
Turbo Power Shield
Lightning bolts will shoot from your shield to destroy enemies and obstacles that come near you! All objects destroyed with the shield will get you double the regular points! The Turbo Power Shield lasts for 15 seconds!
TIP: The Turbo Shield has a short range, so get close to objects to zap them!
Super Power Shield
For 20 seconds, channel the power of storms and send lightning bolts further and faster! All items destroyed with the Super Power Shield are worth 5 times the regular points!
Mega Power Shield
Nothing escapes the fury of the Mega Shield! You will become a buzzing wall of electricity as you earn 10 times the regular points for everything you destroy!
The Fireball
Hitch your wagon to this and you’ll go sky-high! The fireball sends you soaring upward on a ball of flame and smoke. You’ll barrel through coins, powerups and enemies - nothing can stop you!
The Supernova
Hang on tight for this one! The Supernova will have you rocketing at such huge speeds that you will become the center of an extremely powerful gravity well. All objects will be drawn to you like moths to a Supernova!
The Anvil
The Anvil is a block of solid iron that will stop you in your tracks! Avoid this item or it will cost you your coins and may even send you falling to your doom!
TIP: If you hit an obstacle, quickly tilt as far as you can to catch any coins that you have lost. This will boost you back up again and stop you from falling!
Ball & Chain
If you accidentally pick up the Ball and Chain, it will clamp itself to your leg and drag you down with it! The extra weight will make you heavier and you’ll find it harder to get that next coin!
Lightning Cloud
The Lightning Cloud can spoil all your fun. If collected it will automatically remove any powerup you are currently using!
Bounce Blocks
Bounce Blocks can be a welcome break from hectic coin collecting. These blocks will send you bouncing up into the air but won’t disappear after you’ve touched them.
TIP: You can bounce on these blocks as much as you like, so take your time!
Spike Blocks
The spike blocks can be found in groups or lurking amongst bounce and break blocks. Avoid their pointy spikes or you will lose your coins and find yourself falling into danger!
TIP: You can destroy spike blocks with the Power Shield, Anti-Gravity Boots and the Balloon for extra points!
Break Blocks
Break Blocks often hide treasure inside them. Bounce once on a Break Block to look into it for items and then jump one more time to break them open and collect what’s inside!
TIP: Be careful with Break Blocks! Hit them twice and they will disappear, leaving nothing below you!
Kabluey
This blue bad guy has a big appetite. He’ll move horizontally across the screen in an attempt to take a bite out of you. Jump on top of him to finish him off and get some well deserved points!
Purple Nurple
This purple punk flies up and down on the screen trying to block your progress and spoil your fun. Jump on his head to get him out of the way and earn some points too!
Dredful
This red rascal is big and he’s lazy. He won’t move to get his lunch but he'll open his huge mouth instead to bare his big nasty teeth. Show him you’re the boss by jumping on him and collecting a bunch of points!
Stages
There are many stages in Mega Jump. When you reach the end of a stage you will unlock the next one and you will see a "Stage Complete!" message!
Once a stage has been unlocked you can play it at any time by selecting it from the Stage Select screen. Each stage gets harder than the previous stage with more challenges and enemies to overcome.
When you lose a game, you will start from the last Stage that you reached.
TIP: You can spend MP to unlock stages, but you don't have to! Just reach a new stage to unlock it for free!
The Mega Jump Store
The Store gives you access to lots of new characters, items, powerups and special features to unlock.
You unlock items by using Mega Points (MP), which you can earn by playing the game, or via in-app purchase.
You can get to the Store by pressing the Store button found on the Main Menu, Pause and Game Over screens.
You can view different areas of the store by tapping the navigation tabs at the bottom of the store screen.
Mega Points
For every 100 coins you collect in the game you will earn 10 Mega Points (MP).
You can also purchase additional Mega Points to unlock all the extra features even faster!
Also, if you click on the "Earn Free MP" button, you have the option to download some great apps and games (a lot of which are free), and earn MP for doing it!
Mega Codes
Did you know that you have your own unique Mega Code? With it, you can earn thousands of free MP!
Open the Store and tap the orange MP tab, then tap the arrows until you see your Mega Code page.
You can share your Mega Code with friends, and you can also enter your friend's Mega Code. You and your friend both get 500MP if you enter your friend's code.
You can only enter one code, but you can share your code with as many people as you like, and you will receive 500MP for every person that enters your code, so spread the word!
Save Stars
You can purchase Save Stars in the store using MP.
Save Stars can be used in the game at any time, and are particularly useful when you are falling. If you have a Save Star, just tap the Save Star button in the bottom left of the screen when you fall, and you'll boost back up on a trail of stars!
Each Save Star can only be used once though, so use them wisely!
If you use a Save Star during the game, your score will appear on the "Casual" leaderboard. To appear on the "Hardcore" leaderboard, you must achieve your score without using Save Stars.
How to Play Mega Jump
on a Big Screen!
You can use the Remote feature in the Options menu to play Mega Jump on a bigger screen such as an iPad or TV, using your iPhone or iPod as a controller!
How to play Mega Jump using an iPad as a screen:
- You will need an iPhone/iPod and an iPad
- Make sure that Wifi or Bluetooth are turned on, on both devices
- Run Mega Jump on your iPhone and your iPad
- On both devices, tap the Options button
- On both devices, tap the Remote button
- On your iPhone, tap
"Use as Remote" - On your iPad, tap
"Use as Display" - When you see an option to connect, tap "Connect"
- You will now be able to control the game using your iPhone as a controller and the iPad as a screen!
How to play Mega Jump on a TV:
- Connect the device you are using as the "display" to a TV
NOTE: You will need TV Out cables or a dock with a TV Out option - Follow the steps above to set up the connection
How to Play Your Own Music
You can play your own music while you play Mega Jump! Here's how:
- Run Mega Jump
- Turn off Music (the icon of the musical note)
- Close Mega Jump
- Start your iPod app
- Start your music
- Close your iPod app
- Run Mega Jump again
- You will now hear your own music in the game instead of the Mega Jump music!
How to Get More Mega Points
There are lots of things that you can do to get more MP. Here are a few:
- You get 10MP for every 100 coins you collect. Every 10MP you collect is safe, even if you hit an obstacle and lose your coins, so don't worry too much if you do lose your coins - you won't lose any MP you have already collected!
- Upgrade the Magnet! The Magnet is one of the best ways to get more coins during the game, so it's worth spending MP on.
- Upgrade the Action Umbrella! The Turbo, Super and Mega Action Umbrella act like magnets when you are falling, pulling up coins from below. Not only that, but a rain of coins will fall, speeding up your coin collecting!
- Use the "Earn Free MP" button! Download (and run) any of the apps in the list - many of which are completely free - and you will earn MP!
- Use your Mega Code! You can earn 500MP for every person that enters your Mega Code! To find out more about Mega Codes, see the Store section of this Help file.
- Play the lower Stages. Stages 1 and 2 are filled with coins and not many obstacles, so they are a great place to earn MP.
How to Fix Crashes or Improve Game Performance
If Mega Jump is crashing or running slowly on your device, it might be because other applications on your device are taking too much memory. To get better performance in Mega Jump and other apps when you run them, try these tips:
- Make sure other apps aren't multitasking before playing Mega Jump
- To turn off other apps that are multitasking, double-tap the home button, hold down an icon until the app icons wobble, then close any apps you don't need
- Try powering-off your device by holding down the power on the top of your iPhone or iPod until the "Power Off" slider appears. Power off your device, then turn it back on and try Mega Jump again.
